ASSETS Lancaster

ROC Loan
In collaboration with BIPOC small business owners, the ROC Loan was established to address the systemic challenges that exist in accessing capital. This loan is also a way for ASSETS to continue to lean into their mission of supporting women and BIPOC entrepreneurs.
The loan is up to $10,000, has a 3-year term, 1% APR fixed, and 30% grant match.

Community Engagement Coordinator
In November 2022, the ROC Cohort took a pivotal step toward implementing its strategic plan after ASSETS hired Chelsea Christmas as a Community Engagement Coordinator. Chelsea’s role was developed from community input and informed as a recommendation within the ROC Cohort Strategic Plan. Leveraging her own entrepreneurial experience, Chelsea plays a crucial role in providing strategic growth opportunities for new and established businesses. For businesses looking to access or navigate local resources, Chelsea is a great resource.

ACHIEVE provides opportunities for PA residents to complete an unfinished certificate or undergraduate degree program in a high-demand, family-sustaining wage occupation by leveraging programs offered in a variety of formats (i.e., online, in-person) to accommodate work, life, and school balance.

BizCorp Cost Savings Program
BizCorp, the Chamber’s wholly owned for-profit subsidiary, offers Chamber members exclusive access to a number of bottom-line saving products and services, including telecom and IT services, fleet fueling, business insurance, natural gas, and electricity procurement.

Monthly Merchant Meetings
The Lancaster City Alliance and Downtown Investment District host a monthly networking special presentation meeting for Lancaster City businesses and community organizations. The meeting is the third Wednesday of every month (Except December), 8:30 a.m. at The Ware Center, 42 North Prince Street.

City Revitalization and Improvement Zone
The City Revitalization & Improvement Zone (CRIZ), created by a state law in 2013, is a special zone that encourages development and revitalization within designated areas in Lancaster City. Eligible businesses have access to apply for financial assistance made possible by the annual capture of state and local taxes. The Lancaster CRIZ Program prioritizes the development of vacant and underutilized properties, catalytic/high economic impact projects, and small business growth.

Downtown Investment District (DID)
The Lancaster Downtown Investment District (DID) is located in the heart of Lancaster City. Property owners in the DID pay for the services and amenities that help to support a vibrant downtown. The red shirt ambassadors and blue shirt clean team patrol the Downtown Investment District seven days a week from 7 a.m. – 11 p.m. They keep the district clean and help to maintain a high quality of life.
